August Progress - Helix and Flintston

Helix track work extended to meet the lower level main

Finally the track between levels has been installed albiet not without issues! Unknowingly I "moved" the track after I had placed some glue - I think it was when I placed the wooden blocks to ensure smooth grade transmission - the track got moved sideways and I had a big kink...

I'm still to run gear over it but I am hopeful that I don't have to rip it all out and redo. Time will tell

Flintston

This is the last town to have the track laid and it is located under Iron Hill (Southern end) and Stanvac (Northern end). It will have numerous industries with switching complexity!

The warehouse and associated platform foundations have been laid!

I can now see the potential end of track laying but I will try and resist until Hornertown has been completed. The staging tracks at Stirling will be the only other track remaining to be laid.

Thanks Guys for your continuing support!

In conclusion of these pots I think it is fair to say a lot of stuff has happened this month. I'm sure things will be a bit slower next month, so until then.....

Part 1 - Intro
Part 2 - Hornertown
Part 3 - Adamsville
Part 4 - Stanvac
Part 5 - Jimtown
Part 6 - Onka River Valley
