July visit to the State of Victoria

My wife had a training course in Melbourne and that gave me an opportunity to visit hobby shops all across town and then go and spend some time with a mate who is building a N gauge layout.

So after sending my wife home on The Overland I spent a few days modelling with him enjoying his and his wife's company, good food and great wines.

Below are a few pics and a video that I took of a Victorian "R Class" we went out to see on my last day.

Peter's last layout

Is in the dining room....

The dining room table - stored behind the layout!

The new layout - in his "air conditioned" (19 degree Centigrade-  ~66 degree Fahrenheit lined shed)

Test Track

Peter has so many locos that need their decoders setup and speed matched into sets that we had to setup a test track.  Peter was soon driving decoder pro and was able to program his locos after a short mentoring session.  Soon of "those locos" that had been problems were soon running "rickety-boo".

The "R Class" on the move...

Than ks for a great week Peter!
